Chiloquin Visions In Progress

Chiloquin Visions in Progress (CVIP) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community benefit organization formed in 1995.  CVIP serves the greater Chiloquin area through projects that result in a healthy social, economic, natural, and cultural environment.

Our early projects included:
  • Enabling the start-up of the Two Rivers Village Arts, a local association of artists and their gallery
  • Assisting the Friends of the Chiloquin Library with funding for the Chiloquin Branch Library before the Library Service District was created
  • Coordinating the grant funding for an engineering study for the Modoc Point Sanitation District's sewer system
  • Overseeing the design and painting of the historical mural in downtown Chiloquin
  • Providing Little League with equipment

Our largest project so far was the Chiloquin Community Center.  Planning and fundraising for the Center began in 1998, construction began in 2003, and the grand opening was held in June 2004.

Our programs at present include the Chiloquin Area Community Improvement Program, Chiloquin Learns After School (afterschool program for 1st - 6th grade children), and a number of community gatherings and cultural presentations.
